Pilates for Runner's with TRX
RETURNING IN APRIL!
Recreational joggers and serious runners are invited to attend this useful workshop on how Pilates can help minimize injuries, increase flexibility, improve running posture, and increase efficiency (ultimately, speed and distance)!
In previous workshops we focused on specific mat pilates exercises that help you prevent injuries and become a more efficient runner. In Part II of our Runners' Workshop, MoFit Concept and Thrive Pilates Philadelphia have designed a program of exercises fusing the TRX suspension system with traditional pilates mat work specifically targeted at building strength in the right places to improve running pace and distance.

Real Men Do Pilates
This 3 hour workshop will focus on the classical technique of Pilates and the balanced workout that it is. Along with appropriate modifications, we will find out just what real men look like and feel like while doing Pilates and how we can gain value from that information in order to progress towards ideal form and strength.
The statement that "Pilates is for men" is fundamentally redundant. In the early days, most of Joe Pilates clients were men, many of them boxers, wrestlers and athletes of varying disciplines.
Today, most real men are a combination of tight shoulders, backs, hips and legs - all stemming from weak core musculature and breathing. "Real Man" workouts today focus on strengthening peripheral body parts and pay little attention to breath and core integration. Break the mold, literally and join us in gaining back your flexibility and functional strength!

-Question and answer session (including working how to work with injuries, tight muscles, etc)
