Jae Hoon Lim
Jae Hoon Lim, a native of South Korea, moved to the U.S. in 1995 after attending Korea University as a physical education major. He started his dance career in San Diego with San Diego Dance Theatre under the direction of Jean Isaacs. He has since danced with Koresh Dance Company, Shapiro and Smith Dance, Sarasota Ballet of Florida, Chicago Civic Ballet, Brandywine Ballet, and River North Chicago Dance Company. During his 13-year-career, Jae Hoon has had opportunities to work with renowned choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Donald Byrd, Itzik Galili, Alberto Alonso, Paul Selwin and Roni Koresh.
Jae Hoon's education includes a BFA in dance from The University of the Arts and training in Rock School of PA Ballet and Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet . In addition to his extensive national and international performance experiences, he has taught modern, jazz, ballet and partnering class at schools such as Northwestern University in Chicago, Sarasota Ballet Academy, Hubbard Street Dance Center, Brandywine Ballet and Koresh Dance Studio. He is currently teaching at Koresh Dance Studio and Metropolitan Ballet Academy.
Since his departure from full time dance career in June, 2010, Jae Hoon is working towards a Power Pilates Comprehensive Certification.. As a second degree Reiki practitioner, Jae Hoon believes in joyful and healthy living through the harmony of mind, body and spirit and finds great pleasure in helping his students live exuberant lives.
